Virtual Choir →
So I went to Eric Whitacre’s launch party for his new CD and it was AWESOME. We went in and found loads of free wine and Eric had his choir sing ‘The Seal Lullaby’ (SO beautiful) and ‘Sleep’, which incidentally is the piece that he has chosen for his latest Virtual Choir. If anyone hasn’t heard about this yet, it’s where people sing there chosen voice part...

Disney!
Recently i’ve been in a Disney mood :) The music in some of the movies is just wow… Like in ‘Pocahontas’ - Colours of the Wind there is a moment where you can hear the flutes sounding like the wind! I just think that is so clever. Well done Alan Menken!
Also ‘Pocahontas’ has the beautiful voice of Judy Kuhn. I wish she did more singing, she has such a lovely...

Ok, so tomorrow i’m going to this launch party for Eric Whitacre which should be great! Apparently there is going to be loads of Celebrity Musician’s there! Also, Eric will be say what song he’s going to be using for his virtual choir. Yay! I HAVE to be involved in that, there is no question about it…
So yeah, i’ll try and get loads of photo’s at the event and...

The Firebird Suite →
This is a piece of epic proportion. It’s probably one of my favourite orchestral pieces, just listen to find out why! The best moment in this last section of the piece is from 1 minute 50. It’s the build up to this massive explosion of sound that I love so much.
